Se inicio su construccion en 1909 y se inauguro en 1910. De estilo neoclásico, la fachada es de cantera y el interior es una enorme nave de hierro coronada con una torre con un reloj de cuatro caratulas. En la parte inferior del mercado se venden todo tipo de alimentos frescos y preparados, ademas de abarrotes y jarcieria. La parte superior es un balcón en donde venden toda clase de artesanías populares.

The front of the building is in stone and within there is a huge iron-framed hall, with a four-faced clock tower. in de main hall, on the ground floor you can buy a huge variety of fresh and processed food, as well as household goods, wickerwork and hardware supplies. On the upper floor balcony you can find a wide range of popular handricrafts.
